McDonald’s Yummy Launch: French Fries Loaded with Extra Toppings of Salsa, Bacon and Guacamole

Dec 04, 2015 08:56 AM EST

Today is the special FryDay with the launch of McDonald's loaded French fries. The delectably evil fast food from McDonald's will be served with extra toppings of bacon and cheese or salsa and guacamole from today onwards nationwide.

According to the Mashable report, McDonalds have launched loaded fries for the first time in Australia. It is a kind of experiment for the Aussies who are usually satisfied with a little sprinkle of chicken salt over the fries. The McDonald's is just following the people's taste buds, with more precision.

The McDonald's official said that the addition of the salsa, guac, cheese and bacon sauces with the French fries is just a trend that they are following. It has been started by the customers' long time back. The fries from McDonald's are appetizingly delicious yet, people tend to dip them in ketchup or soft servings to experiment.

According to the Huffington Post report, as of Friday, December 4th, fry-lovers will be able to purchase "Loaded Fries" -- basically, your normal delicious golden chip, but featuring one of two new toppings. That's right, toppings. Like pizza or nachos. BUT ON YOUR FRIES.

Australia is famous for coming up with new ideas on the taste market within the giant fast food joints. The first trial of impressive coffee, Mc Café and range of customized burger, Create Your Taste was first tried in Melbourne. The US market has adapted both ideas.

The McDonald's loaded French fries are available in two versions. First is the cheese and bacon version and the other is the salsa and guacamole version. The price is said to be A$6.95 for a shared pack and A$4.10 for a normal pack.

There are other options like addition with the meals too. The cost varies according to the size between A$1.30 and A$1.90.

The CMO of McDonald's Australia, Mark Lollback said, "Now we're helping our customers with their fry flavour experiments by giving them world first toppings to bring their fries to life with. I'm sure Loaded Fries are going to be a hit this summer, and can't wait to see how Aussies embrace them," as reported in the NEWS Australia.

According to the survey, these fries remind you of the Shake Shack when combined with the not too flashy bacon bits and the cheddar cheesy creamy sauce. The normal guac without any onion or tomato is more like smashed avocado.

The guacamole is fresh but, does not offer any heavenly taste when served with fries. On the other hand, the salsa offers a sweet and tangy taste, more like a jam.

Overall, the cheesy factor in the former version wins the heart of the food lovers compared to the latter version of guac and salsa. Both the flavors must be tried as it can, of course, be better than ketchup and chicken salt when you need variation.
