Giant online shopping store will bring its eCommerce business into the physical world as it plans to temporarily put up shops inside shopping malls to gain more sellers.

Fortune reported that the eCommerce company will set up temporary stores at Westfield Malls in the US where people can sell the gifts they got in Christmas that they don't really want or need.

People can list these items online in these physical outposts from December 26 to 27. They can even avail the valet service who will do all the nitty gritty stuff, including taking photos and making price estimates. This service will be free for those two days.

According to Chain Store Age, the physical stores will be located at Westfield San Francisco Centre, San Francisco; Westfield Hawthorn Center, Vernon Hills, Illinois; and Westfield Garden State Plaza, Paramus, New Jersey. This project is called Boxing Days for Americans. Ebay saw an increase in sellers and new listings after Christmas last year.

"We have a unique opportunity to extend the season by helping holiday wishes come true even after Christmas," said eBay Head of Consumer Selling Vincent Payen in a report by Business Wire. "We've made it easy to sell in-person, online, on the eBay app or with the eBay Valet service over Boxing Weekend. Whether it was a designer sweater that didn't fit, or an older tablet that has been replaced by a new one, there is always a buyer among our global community of 159 million for whom it will be perfect."

EBay said that those who sold top-selling products are offered with higher sales prices than other competitor site. One of the top selling items last year was the iPhone 5S. Ebay aims to increase the growth in its marketplace to gain edge against competing eCommerce giant Amazon.

According to eBay, 79 percent of the items sold through its platform are new.
