LG G4 vs Sony Xperia Z4: Two Flagship Smartphones delivers features and specs suited for consumers

It's hard to compare two flagship phones, the LG G4 and the Sony Xperia Z4, of two of the most aggressive phone makers today when both phones have different features and specs to offer. While one may be big on certain features, the other makes up for it with better specs. It really just boils down to what feature or spec is more important to the consumer, and there is no winner in terms of direct comparison

Design-wise, both phones promote entirely different ideas of the "premium feel". LG G4 prefers the path of the expensive-looking but hard plastic and leather, giving it a bolder and more adventurous look. It comes in a wide range of color options with a bigger edge-to-edge screen display.

The Sony Xperia Z4, on the other hand, chose to stick to its traditional rigid design. It comes only in a few primary colors and has the same clean OmniBalance design that their phones are known for. The material used for this phone is better, though, as it has a stylish metal chassis with dual-glass front and back. The only down side is that it has not joined the band wagon of edge-to-edge screen. And additional feature consumers would surely love is the water and dust resistant and IP68 certified for better durability.

Another aspect in which the phones differ is in the camera. The Sonny Xperia Z4 has an impressive 20.7-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. As Sony is known for great camera specs, the Z4 maintains the specs already found in its predecessor. It has LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama shot capability. Pretty impressive and Sony has already proven itself to consistently deliver good shots on their phones' cameras.

LG, on the other hand, does not really match Sony's level in terms of camera quality, but their latest LG G4 can probably change that. Although its main camera has a lower sensor, coming in at 16-megapixel, it does make up for it with laser autofocus for lightning quick photo captures, LED flash, simultaneous video and image recording, and optical image stabilization. Also, its front-facing camera has an 8-megapixel sensor, so selfies taken with the LG G4 will be more than decent.

And under the hood, Sony Xperia Z4 boasts of an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, a heft 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage all powered by 2,930mAh battery. The LG G4's processor is a tad lower at Snapdragon 808 hexa-core, also 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, it does make up for the processor with a 3,000mAh battery.

Whatever consumers choose to buy, both Sony Xperia Z4 and LG G4 are great buys. The choice will just have to boil down to whatever specs and features the buyer deems important and of course, the budget. Both phones have already been announced within days of each other but actual release dates are still not verified.
