Google unveiled its new Chromecast gadget on Tuesday during the same launching event as the new Nexus flagship in San Francisco.

The new update saw Google providing users with two Chromecast devices for normal video and TV streaming and also for music streaming.

Cnet News reported that the latest Chromecast update aims to give users more speed and power to the devices.

The Guardian list out its full specs to contain three Wi-Fi ariels supporting the latest dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac Version for faster and reliable speed.

Google exploit this speed and provides users with 'Fast Play' Feature which allow a video to be pre-loaded even before users choose what to watch. The device will predict what users might watch based on users' watching pattern, and start loading the video in the background.

The Chromecast audio is also exploiting the same Wi-Fi wave to enable users to use any standard speaker to play the audio from their TV.

Users will just have to simply connect the Chromecast audio dongle to any standard speaker via the 3.5 mm jack output. Besides for playing audio from Chromecast, the audio update also supports Google's Play Music, Deezer and Tunein Radio.

Business Insiders reported that Google will rolls out the Chromecast app for both iOS and Android soon. The apps will enable users to select videos that they are planning to watch directly from their phone.

The latest Chromecast also enable users to watch video on their device while letting the video continue to buffer on the television.

Google's vice president for product management, Mario Queiroz said that the company will bring more content to the device soon including news and sport streaming provider. Currently, Netflix and Hulu both are available through the apps. For content that is not available, Chromecast will prompt users to download the apps making the device more user-friendly.

More games are added for the device too including Rovio's Angry Bird.  Another noteworthy feature is the social media support for the device including Facebook, Flickr, and Google Photo enabling users to stream the social media while watching their favorite show.

The new update means Google is planning to increase its market share for the smart-home devices. The devices which have been sold more than 20 million units since it was launch two years ago saw a lot more improvement.

While the new device can be bought for only $35, users with the old version can just upgrade to this latest Chromecast without having to buy the new one.
