Disney Fantasy vs. Disney Magic, Choose the Right Cruise Ship For Your Next Destination

Cruise ship battle is on! Disney Fantasy vs. Disney Magic. Both Disney ships are new vessels that could offer the travelers the best experience and memories of their life.

If you're looking for cruise trips for family holidays, couple's honeymoon or company's outing, then you can choose between the rivals Disney Fantasy vs. Disney Magic.  It may sound confusing, but these Disney cruise line ships still have major differences.

Disney Fantasy vs. Disney Magic:

Both the ships offer great amenities from deck-top fun zones with pools and water features, interior children's areas, family-friendly entertainment to major family resort.

Disney Magic was launched in 1998, but it was fully remodeled in 2013.  Today, it has more adjoining more verandas and staterooms perfect for large group meetings or activities. Along with its makeover. It is now built with AquaLab, a new outdoor kiddie fun zone, a 37-foot-tall body slide and AquaDunk, according to USA Today. It caters round trips to the Caribbean and to European destinations. Smaller than the Disney Fantasy, it can hold a total of 1,754 passengers.

It has three main restaurants, including Lumiere's, Animator's Palate and the Carioca's, Mouse Savers reports. It has a new design of nostalgic blue and red funnels, cabins are refurbished with new carpets and furniture while the Mickey Mouse character remains around the areas.

Disney Fantasy, which first sailed in 2012, is bigger than the Disney Magic with its 130,000 tons capacity.  It caters seven night trip from the Port Canaveral, Florida to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, Cruise Critic reports. The double-occupancy cruise can accommodate 2,500 and a maximum of 4,000 travelers. It has state-of-the-art 765-foot-long AquaDuck water coaster that offers deck-top attractions at sea, kiddie water slide, Magical Portholes, where passengers can see real-time sea views from their cabin, number of pools, kiddie areas, Europa, an adult-only night area and family entertainment areas.

It has an elite Remy French restaurant, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, that can turn girls into their favorite princess characters. Another feature is the 1,800-square-foot water play area called AquaLab on its Deck 12. There is also a new Satellite Sun Deck, a top-deck adults-only area where there are Satellite falls, fountains and round splash pool.

Whether to choose between Disney Fantasy and Disney Magic depends entirely on the age bracket and preference of the passengers.  The two Disney ships are all amazing, but if you prefer to have lesser crowd, then go for Disney Magic.  If you have older children with you, you can opt for Disney Fantasy than the Disney Magic that is more appropriate for younger kids.
