The new Citi Wharton Global Institute of Wealth of the University of Pennslyvania made an announcement of offering a world-class executive education program for its wealth advisors.
The institute will be launched in Philadephia, where University of Pennslyvania's campus is located, and also in its campus in Beijing in December 2015.
According to Businesswire the executive education program will be launched later in Latin America and Europe in early 2016, with a plan to further expand to other locations in the next three years.
The Wharton Business school was first founded in 1881 as part of University of Pennslyvania and has been recognized for its intellectual leadership and innovation in business education.
The executive education program is a new three-year initiative meant for Citigold, Citigold Private Client and Banamex global advisory network with participants being Citibank's top-performing Relationship Managers and Financial Advisors.
Citi is expecting to register as many as 500 such top management personnel worldwide through this Citi Wharton Global Wealth Institute.
Wharton School Dean Geoffry Garrett stated that Wharton was delighted to partner with Citi to create a custom executive program as a true investment in Citi's vision for the future with the global nature of the program exemplifying Wharton's goal to being the best business school in the world.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Larsen - Global Head of Retail Banking and Mortgage of Citi - summed up the partnership with Wharton as a collaboration reflecting "extraordinary learning commitment by Citi that will serve its Relationship Managers and ultimately its clients well into the future". Citi - the leading global bank - has 200 million customer accounts and conducts its business in 160 countries around the world as reported by Businesswire.
Larsen also added that some of the most talented financial advisors in the industry are from Citigold Private Client and Citigold and that their talents would be deepened by recourse to the remarkable expertise from one of the finest business schools in the world.
Businesswire reported that the Institute of Wealth will be led by Christopher Geczy as its academic director. The curriculum is expected to feature world-class instruction and experiential learning to add depth to participants' business acumen and skills in leadership.
Geczy also added that "Citi is refining what advisors will look like in the future and expanding the horizon of their role with customers".
Businesswire also added that the executive program will impart supportive knowledge and skills in areas ranging from client service to the technical expertise of wealth management and on to leadership, ethics, and personal effectiveness.
