Microsoft is putting tits final touch onto the first new major update to Windows 10 in early of November. This update will be released worldwide.

According to The Verge , Microsoft is planning to distribute the update to existing Windows 10 machines in early November, and likely during the first week of next month.

The new Microsoft will be either be  known  technically as 'Threshold 2" or " Windows 10 Fall Update" .

The BGR online quoted Paul Thurrott as saying "Windows 10 Fall Update is the official name of the first major update to Windows 10, though of course the OS will still be called  Windows 10.

In order to differentiate Windows 10 Fall Update from the RTM release, however, it will be identified as version 1511 (where 15 ="2015," the year, and 11 = "November," the month), indicating its date of release.

Windows 10 Fall Update include a significant number of changes , including an improved Media of  Creation Tool , new Messaging app that allow people to chat with friends via Skype , SMS texting via laptop , New locales and other various new features for Cortana and Edge improvements.

The fixes will include UI changes , such as colored titled bars , context menus and an extra  column of Live Tiles .

The BGR online said the update will be available just like any other updates, and users won't have to do anything special to get it.

The Fall Update ships as a cumulative update, not as a full build, which means it can be applied to current Windows 10 installations, without users having to activate the operating system after the upgrade is performed.

According to Thurrott Online ,  users can upgrade to Windows 10 Fall Update directly from the RTM version of Windows 10, without having to first install any other updates.

Likewise, if you upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7/8.1 after the Fall Update is made available, you will get Windows 10 Fall Update.

For all those who are currently a Windows 7 and Windows 8 users , which are planning to upgrade to Windows 10 later after the update is released , these users will directly be updated to the last version of the software.

According to Thurrott Online , "As previously reported, Windows 10 Fall Update will support activating with your PC's Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 product key. For this to work, the key must match the edition of Windows 10 using the same upgrade matrix."
