Honolulu Tarmac Airbnb and Virgin America team up for the ultimate Hawaiiscape and debuted the first-of-its-kind partnership. Moreover, it was announced that Virgin America introduced its new route from San Francisco to Honolulu with special fares as low as $199 or 8,558 Elevate points.
According to Virgin America official website, the airline company known for reinventing flying just start off its "Work Hard, Hawai'i Hard" experience. It also collaborated with the world's leading community driven hospitality company, Airbnb, which aimed at incentivizing Bay Area-based workaholics to make the ultimate #Hawaiiscape. Virgin America's new flights from San Francisco to Honolulu, Oahu will be available as of November 2, 2015 and from San Francisco to Kahului, Maui as of December 3, 2015.
Virgin America and Airbnb 's partnership is now offering those who live in the start-up capital of the world a chance to win the ultimate "Work Hard, Hawai'i Hard" escape with a free stay at an Airbnb estate on Oahu with Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson. The airline kicked off the contest as of November 2, 2015 with an irreverent Magnum P.I. inspired video of Sir Richard Branson, with a LinkedIn Influencer post by Branson himself explaining why it's important to refresh and recharge to do your best work.
Virgin America and Airbnb transform the airline's SFO T2 home into a colorful tropical oasis with a lu'au hosted at the HNL departure gate. Upon touchdown of the first flight in Hawai'i, Virgin America's, the guests will be welcomed with a red carpet.
Branson and Airbnb's Jonathan Mildenhall also hosted an oceanfront sunset event at an Airbnb property, the notable Paul Mitchell Estate on O'ahu. With that, travelers can follow the celebrations with the hashtags #NowBoarding, #AirbnbHawaii and on both brands' Snapchats.
As reported by Market Watch, Virgin America President and Chief Executive Officer David Cush also made his statement regarding the festivities. Crush claimed, "Our loyal Bay Area travelers, and especially our Elevate frequent flyers, have been asking for an island escape for some time, and as of today they have a fresh option for their Hawai'i travels." He also added, "We are thrilled to be bringing our unique service to Honolulu and next month Maui, and we look forward to building lasting community ties with the state and people of Hawai'i."
Virgin America also had a big surprise, announcing a new partnership with AirBnb, that is seemingly the first of its kind. Guests can actually earn 1,500 Elevate points on a first AirBnb stay and an additional 1 point per dollar on all completed AirBnb stays. Elevate members who sign up to become AirBnb hosts can also earn an additional 20,000 Elevate points.
Meanwhile, many clients find the new AirBnb partnership pretty awesome as they think that Hawaiian resort hotels are still expensive despite cheaper fares. Moreover, the travel period for the low fare offer must occur between December 3, 2015 and March 9, 2016.
