November 2015 Subaru sale surpasses 2014's 500 million units sold milestone
After reaching a milestone sales figure last year, Subaru did it again selling half a million of its vehicles in the U.S from the beginning of the year to November.
According to a report from Motor Trend, the car manufacturer sold 526,401 units through November this year, surpassing 2014's 513,693 vehicles sold. With one more month before the year ends, Subaru is definitely going way pass beyond the milestone it hit last year. For the last seven consecutive years, Subaru's sales have been growing.
"We are delighted to be celebrating yet another record. Our continued growth is built on strong products and outstanding retailers providing a great customer experience. We thank all of our retailers for their continued commitment in making these record-breaking sales possible. Given consumer demand for our products, we expect a strong close of 2015," said Subaru of America president and chief operating officer Thomas J. Doll in a report by SYS-CON.
Doll, who brought Subaru to the mainstream by turning it into a lifestyle brand, was recently named the 2016 Motor Trend Person of the Year.
According to the Telegraph Times report, the company attributes the constant growth to its impressive products and excellent retailers. Since the year hasn't ended yet, Subaru still expects a strong overall 2015 sales. Subaru sells its vehicles and other products in a network that comprises over 620 retailers all over the United States.
Subaru's Forester and Crosstrek are the automaker's best sellers. Its Outback also performed strong this year with sales up 9.8 percent to 136,227. Its Forester, Outback, and Crosstrek sold a collected 350,000 units in the year-to-date tally.
Its BRZ model is the only model that decreased in sales this year, with only 4,883 units sold. That is a 31.1 percent decrease from last year. Meanwhile, its WRX and STI sold 30,645 units, up 35.1 percent from last year.
