Now the desktop is no longer a trend in India

Now the mobile e-commerce is a booming e-commerce business in India. India could have 657 million Internet users by 2019, up from 277 million to date. The growth of mobile e-commerce increased at a fast pace.

"Smartphones are powering the online retail market as consumers increasingly use their mobile phones to buy products online," said Satish Meena of Forrester Research, according to Kern Golden Empire.com.

Most of the time, the user will prefer smartphone than a desktop when shopping. It's a trend that e-commerce companies are offering some discounts or voucher based exclusively for smartphone users.

Satish Meena predicts that Indian e-commerce business will be greater on the smartphone than desktop shopping in the coming years, and businesses could hit $19 billion by 2019. That gives retailers relevant little time to get their mobile store windows altogether.

Mobile web traffic in the U.S. and Europe has been growing, and spreading fast in India as well. Most mobile companies offer cheap smartphones, which makes the internet more friendly to more Indians. Now mobile data plans are more affordable for all users.

More shopaholic Indians utilize their smartphones with the current year's festive season. The best offers were available for mobile users rather than desktop users.  Most of the company offers bonus vouchers for shopping, which is only available for smartphone's apps.

According to RCR Wireless News,"While mobile shopping in 2014 saw peaks and valleys during the shopping holidays, 2015 is shaping up to be more of a shopping season, with mobile shopping consistently high," Crittercism reported.

Flipkart, one of India's biggest e-retailers, was offering discounts for only smartphone users through mobile apps on its Diwali deal. To take advantage of the deal, users must download the eCommerce application.

Myntra, a fashion e-commerce website owned by Flipkart, closed its desktop website and mobile site. However, the mobile site will open soon for users by January of next year. It's available as app-only service.

Amazon, which is world's biggest online retailer was offering same discounts for smartphone users only on Diwali festival season in India. Other online stores like Jabong, eBay, Yepme, Shopclues are also offering discounts for smartphone users only.

As per Business Standard, smartphones are now the best way for Indians to reach the internet, and e-commerce ranks third in terms of usage after messaging and social media.

Now most of the users are likely to shop through online than offline or visit to store. For that reason, people are using smartphone or tablet for online shopping rather than desktop PC.
