Trader Joe's will recall its Triple Ginger Brew after reports of unopened bottles exploding have surfaced.

According to CNN, there have been customers reporting that bottles of this beverage shatter or burst even when they are still unopened. These bottles were bought from November 9 to December 14.

The beverage maker said in a statement that the soda is safe to drink, and only the bottles are dangerous. All the affected bottles are already taken out of the stores. No injuries or illnesses were reported.

CBS News reported that The Monrovia California company announced that the bottles with SKU number 51857 are dangerous due to potential risk of explosion. An FDA recall notice clarified that the carbonated, non-alcoholic beverage is not hazardous when consumed. The Triple Ginger Brew is sold nationwide in 25.4 FL OZ (750 mL) glass bottles.

The company encouraged customers who have purchased the product to handle it carefully. The company will also provide a refund to those who bought the beverage.

"Although the ginger brew does not pose a health risk if consumed, all product has been removed from store shelves and destroyed," according to a press release in a report by SF Gate. "No injuries or illnesses have been reported to date."

Customers are advised to dispose of the bottles immediately in an outside container.

This is not the first time that the company issued a recall. Last August, it recalled its Dark Chocolate covered Honey Grahams that has Sea Salt after reports came out that the product may contain milk, which was not included in the list of ingredients.

In November, the company also recalled its Trader Giotto's Butternut Squash Triangoli after some customers reported allergic reactions to tree nuts, which was an ingredient that was undeclared.

The Triple Ginger Brew is a non-alcoholic drink that has "a substantial amount of fresh ginger that's added during the brewing process." This beverage is very popular, with various flavors like Gingerbread and Triple Ginger Snaps.
