Sarah Palin To Sell Her Arizona House for Nearly $2.5 Million
Sarah Palin is listing her house in Arizona for sale at the price of close to $2.5 million. The house which she bought four years ago was located in Scottsdale.
According to Arizona Central, the former running mate of John McCain in 2008 presidential election is listing her house last week. One of the property agent said that so far there is one offer and other serious inquiries.
Palin put her house on listing because she has not spent much time in Arizona and decide to sell the 7,900-square-foot (2,400 sqm) house she bought around five years ago. Richard Barker, her property agent said, "They're just not here enough to enjoy a house that big."
Mrs. Palin was an Alaskan governor from 2006 to 2009, and she was the youngest and the first woman who held the office. She gained national attention in 2008 as a vice president candidate alongside John McCain from Republican party. She resigned from the office in July 2009 before completing the term, and some rumors arose regarding her future plan after resigning from the governor's office.
Sarah Palin governorship is known for her monumental achievement in the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA) for building gas pipeline from North Slope of the Alaska. The pipeline transport natural gas to continental United States through Canada with an estimated capacity of 41 billion cubic meter (bcm) of natural gas per year. The $26 billion project is estimated to be completed in late 2018.
According to Politico, when Mrs. Palin purchased the Scottsdale house in 2011, rumors and speculation arose regarding her intention to run for senate representing Arizona to replace the retired senator Jon Kyl. Another rumor surfaced in 2014 that she would challenge John McCain, her former running mate in 2008 election, but senator McCain laughed off the speculation and calling it as foolish.
Los Angeles Times put Sarah Palin's property in hot property list. The property is a said to have its main house as blending of Santa Barbara, Tuscan and Spanish styles, with high ceilings, chandeliers and wrought-iron railings in the interior details. The six-bedroom house is equipped with media room, theater, wine cellar and rooftop deck in one of its master suites.
The backyard of the house is designed with resort-theme, featuring fireplaces off the covered patio and veranda, and fiiled with grill station, fire pit, pool & spa. An equestrian-zoned grounds wih more than four acre was also available for horse riding activity. The entire compound was built in Tuscan-style, and equipped with basketball court, putting green and swimming pool.
The house was built in 2001 and Mrs. Palin purchased the house for $1.695 million. Richard Barker is the listing agent from Keller Williams Arizona Realty in Fountain Hills for the property.
