Apple's rumored Home app will reportedly grant unifying control over different HomeKit devices

Apple is rarely one to shy away from introducing bold, new apps, and if the rumors are true, their new Home app will change the very ideal of the modern household.

The idea behind the Home app is simple enough. If a home contains any of the upcoming HomeKit-compatible accessories that will be released soon, the homeowner will then be given a simple app that will effectively be used to manage each and every single one of those accessories, according to 9 to 5 Mac.

The managing or controlling app, is the one which would be called Home.

All compatible HomeKit devices would also be controllable by connecting them to the Apple TV, according to Tech Crunch. The Apple TV in this scenario would effectively be used as a central hub for the HomeKit devices.

In addition to having the ability to control any Homekit device, the Home app can also be downloaded using any Apple smartphone- meaning, owners can now change the layout of their homes with a few swipes here and there, or maybe even just by talking to Siri- at least that's the plan.

As exciting and potentially groundbreaking all of this can be, they are still ideas for now. HomeKit devices themselves are still in development, with delays plaguing meaningful progress, though Apple has already disputed this claim, according to ZD Net

Apple said they already have committed partners ready to launch their own HomeKit-compatible devices as soon as next month, so people will just have to wait until then to see if the tech giant is bluffing or not.

One more rumor concerning Home app is that it will be officially introduced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next month.

Apple is notoriously secretive when it comes to big announcements, so we will just have to wait for WWDC to see what rumors actually turn out to be true.
