Instagram Introduces Layout's Custom Photo Collages To Android

After introducing Layout on iOS last March, Instagram's very own photo collage application is finally available to Android users. The new application, which can be downloaded for free on Google Play, enables users to create a collage using multiple photos in different kind of grids.

Android users do not need to worry anymore about finding the right application to combine their photos, as Instagram makes its own photo collage application "Layout" available on their OS. Just like in iOS, the application allows you to cram up to nine images into a single composition photo which is suitable for sharing on Instagram.

Layout starts by letting users to select a few photos then proceeds by suggesting a layout from a variety of grids to reach the desired effect.

The app also comes with a built-in "Photo Booth" feature which allows users to take several snaps and automatically put them together in a collage. Layout comes for free and it does not require the user to have an Instagram account.

The photo collage software is a follow-up application to Hyperlapse and Bolt. Through these apps, Instagram wants to keep users spend more time in its photo sharing app.
