Two Google Nexus Phones reportedly coming out this year courtesy of Huawei and LG
Rumors are ripe that Google is working with both LG and Huawei to release two new Nexus phones before the end of 2015.
LG's Bullhead
Codenamed "Bullhead", the device will supposedly feature a 5.2 inch screen together with a battery with a capacity of 2700mAh, according to Android Police. "Bullhead" will also get the Snapdragon 808, according to rumors. If the rumor holds up, then that would mean that "Bullhead" would feature the same processor LG used for its highly successful G4. It could also be an indicator that LG is fully committed to making the "Bullhead" as good as it can be, even though it is technically going to be coming out under the Google banner.
Huawei's Angler
The second device, so far known only as Huawei's "Angler," is rumored to be a bit bigger than its LG counterpart. The device is said to feature a 5.7 inch screen, a battery with a capacity of 3500mAh, and the Snapdragon 810, according to Droid-Life. This would mean that the "Angler" would basically be a bigger and more robust version of the "Bullhead", if these rumors end up panning out.
Both the LG "Bullhead" and the Huawei "Angler" are expected to be released in October, similar to the timeline that Google followed during previous Nexus releases, according to Neowin.
With Google doubling down on their smartphone production for 2015, it also seems like the company would want to shift focus to the development of those two devices.
Right now, the rumor mill indicates that the two new Nexus phones may be the only new devices coming from Google for the rest of 2015. Google fans who have been eagerly anticipating the release of the Nexus 9 tablet will be disappointed to learn that the insider reports are saying it won't be coming out in 2015.
