Oct 25 NFL Game Will Stream Live on Yahoo sites for FREE

Great news for NFL fans worldwide as Yahoo and NFL team up for the first time to provide "Free Live-Stream" on the National Football League's regular season game.

As agreed, Yahoo will give a live streaming video on the internet, to global users on NFL's International Series game which will be held in London on Sunday, Oct 25, 2015 on teams, Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Based on reports, the internet media company will provide access and broadcast the football game to Yahoo users as well as its other properties, including Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Screen and Tumblr, reaching more than 1 billion viewers per month.

Although the London match is told to have a lower value for TV networks but the "free live-stream" game is the first of its kind on the internet, marking a new achievement for the National Football League.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell believes that the partnership with Yahoo is a significant one for NFL.

"The NFL has always been committed to being at the forefront of media innovation. Through this partnership with Yahoo - one of the world's most recognizable digital brands - we are taking another important step in that direction as we continue to closely monitor the rapidly evolving digital media landscape," Goodell said.

Reuters reported that Yahoo paid at least $20 million for the streaming rights which is a great investment for the internet media company as it boasts of having more than a billion users collectively on its multiple Yahoo-property sites.

In an interview, Senior VP of Product and Engineering, Adam Cahan stated that Yahoo will retain sole advertising rights and was hopeful of getting similar partnerships in the future.

"Yahoo will have exclusive advertising rights to the game, which will also be available in a 30 minute-on-demand version." Cahan said.

The October 25th NFL live-stream game will also be on telecasts via TV networks (WIVB-TV) in Buffalo and (WTEV-TV) in Jacksonville.
