New Xbox One Matte Black Console Offers 1TB Of Storage
Microsoft corp will be showing off its latest offerings at the Xbox E3 show next week. In what could be a preview of the things to come, the company yesterday unveiled Xbox One console, with a new matte finish and 1TB of on-board storage space.
The unveiling of the Xbox One console will delight gamers as they had been calling for more storage space on the game console.
Also, gamers can use an external USB 3.0 drive to extend the storage space. In the US, Xbox One with 1TB of storage space goes on sale starting June 16. While sale of the game console in international markets will start at the end of June.
The game console will be fitted with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the definitive Halo experience. This is meant for selected regions for a limited time.
The Xbox One models with 500 GB is selling for $349, and with an extra $50 you can get the Xbox One with 1TB, which will cost $399 in the US, Techcrunch reported.
But that is not all. The Xbox One gets a redesigned controller and a 3.5mm headphone jack that will allow gamers to connect their game headsets to the controller. Gamers will also have the option -- via the settings menu -- to adjust headset volume, mic monitoring and voice and game audio balance. The quality of the audio has been improved and it can be loud, according to Microsoft.
The redesigned controller can be purchased as standalone item and it comes in black and in new camouflage design in silver and black, Microsoft said.
Also both new and existing controller will work with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows. With the Xbox Wireless Adapter you can connect your controller to get the same Xbox One experience.
Starting this fall, the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows can be purchased for $24.99, and $79.95 for the bundled Xbox One Wireless Controller. The product will be sold in markets where Xbox accessories are currently available.
