Google Launches New App for On the Go Developers to Manage Their Cloud Platform Resources on iOS and Android Devices

If you manage apps on Google's Cloud Platform, you must be familiar with the Google Developers Console, which is one of the best way to get an overview of your system. Now Google launched a new app for iOS and Android to manage the Google App Engine and Compute Engine-based app on the go.

According to TechCrunch, the company launched the Android beta version of its Google Cloud Console app under the radar earlier this year. But it is now available on iOS and is out of beta. This new app will make developer and admins' jobs easier by efficiently allowing them quick look at the metrics for their services subscribed on the Cloud Platform.

The new feature will also make it very easy to track the metrics of the user's customers since Google built in a Cloud Monitoring service in this new app. This app will let you get mobile alerts when there are certain issues in the business you run. It can also restart virtual machines and SSH right into these software through your phone. These features are only available for Android users as of now. Finally, you can update these incidents on your app status.

The TechPortal reports that the new app allows users to customize the dashboard to accommodate various business needs like billing, monitoring, performance information, and metrics in the Google App Engine and Compute Engine apps.

Here is Google described the new app: "Imagine a scenario where you are headed for a party with your friends on a Friday night, suddenly, your boss text you that he can't log into a certain app and he needs to get in fast. With the new Google app, you don't have to cancel your plans with your friends. You can handle this issue on your mobile phone while you are on the go."

You can handle your business easier and more efficiently while you are on the go with the new Google Developers Console app.
