Analysts bet on Macy's, Alibaba, Cisco and News Corp; quarter earnings to be announced

Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO), Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (BABA), Macy's Inc. (M) and News Corporation (NWS) will announce the companies' quarterly financial results on Wednesday.

Business Finance reported that on Wednesday morning, Macy's will state its financial results; 3.75% EPS are expected due to its fall off in the preceding years. Concurrently, The Street analysts are figuring 0.75 EPS for $6.255B profit.

On the contrary, Alibaba is predicted to have a tough quarter as The Guardian Business blog mentioned that the largest e-commerce company in China owned by Jack Ma displeased the investors last year, dropping US shares to 6% and plummeting 26% EPS year after year. The e-commerce business had declared $0.84 EPS on $2.542B revenue. Even so, the previous quarter earnings had shrunk to $0.48 EPS on $2.811B.

Although, Baba's net income had raised to 12.34M yuan with the revenue increasing by 28% (20.25M yuan, which is equivalent to $3.27B), it contrasts the expected $3.32B.
