Twitter aims to create more content partnerships in Asia Pacific and the Middle East

Twitter now wants to forge more content partnerships in the regions of the Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

As part of the company's efforts to manage such a feat, the social media giant has tapped their own Singapore-based executive Rishi Jaitly to lead teams to be spread out all across the different sections of the regions, according to Reuters.

Jaitly will be leading teams situated in countries such Japan, India and Australia, and even into parts of China, among other places.

Prior to being appointed to his new position, Jaitly served under Twitter as the company's Market Director for India and Southeast Asia.

Jaitly has been given the task of trying to find the best partners available in the region who will be amenable to making their content available on Twitter. Once Jaitly has secured these partnerships with the providers, the content will not be broadcast solely within the local and neighboring regions, as Twitter will be looking to make it available all across the globe.

Jaitly has the full support of the company behind him, with Twitter Vice President of Global Media Katie Stanton even saying the former Market Director has done a "tremendous job" in his previous role.

As for what exactly Jaitly and his numerous teams will be looking to accomplish in terms of solidifying deals with regards to content partnerships within the Asia Pacific and the Middle East, one example would be the type of deal he and his Singapore team has just secured with MediaCorp, according to Value Walk.

Twitter's SnappyTV will be the place viewers can go to in search of video clips from Singapore's 50th National Day Parade that originate from MediaCorp.

It remains to be seen whether Jaitly and his teams can secure more deals like the one they managed to make with MediaCorp, but the newly promoted executive is optimistic about the prospects of the Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

Jaitly said that given the sheer number of active social media users that reside within these parts of the world, he believes that Twitter will provide potential content providers with a great opportunity to broaden their horizons even further.

Jaitly is also not allowing the potential issue of language barriers to impede Twitter's march through the regions as he believes that the social media platform can perfectly handle content that may not be broadcast in English.
