Fujifilm released new instant camera with a twist
Fujifilm released a new instant camera with better feature aiming to get customers excited about instant camera back. The manufacturer still believes that instant camera have a market even after Polaroid had decided to ditch the market back in 2008. With a price tag of only $130, the manufacturer hopes that this camera will bring back the intimacy in a photo.
The new Fujifilm camera was designed to be retro-looking. Fujifilm comes put with a different design this time compared to all of its previous model. With its bulky and boxy design, the camera comes with a two-tone black and silver in color. The bigger size design is to accommodate the 3.4 x 4.25 inches film which is two times bigger than the previous film said Mashable.
The Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 has the best lens compared to other instant cameras ever produced. The 114 mm, f/14 prime lens provide a wide angle view suitable for a decent panorama shot. The lens enables a user to get a focus range of 0.9 to 3 meters using a normal mode and more than 3 meters when the lens is turn on as reported by PC Mag.
According to Stuff, the camera also has an exposure range of 1/64 - 1/200 sec. Fujifilm also provides a clip-on macro lens especially for macro photo enthusiast which could bring down the focus to 0.4 meters. However, the viewfinder is smaller compared to the Fujifilm Wide 210.
The focusing distance of the lens can be adjusted by rotating its knurled ring just like how one would operate a DSLR camera. Holding the instant is getting less awkward with its sizeable grip enabling a user to take a picture without worry of getting in the way of the film like the previous Fujifilm mini film.
The camera can hold up to 10 films per tray. Inserting the film is similar like the previous version where the user has to put it through the backdoor. The camera is powered using four AA batteries and could drain easily when used with flash. Just like previous instant camera by Fujifilm, there is a brightness button on the back of the camera to help the user adjust within indoor and outdoor shooting.
However, the camera is lacking in shooting mode unlike the Mini 90 as the camera only function as a basic point and shoot camera. It even lack the self-timer mode putting group photo out of the picture. However,a reviewer from Mashable still considers it as a great camera since the wider film will provide the user with a more panoramic film.
