China's president starts his first official US visit

Chinese President, Xi Jinping and his wife kick off their first official visit to the US today. The president safely landed in Paine Field, Seattle in an Air China 747 near a Boeing plant. Washington state Governor, Jay Inslee was there to welcome the president and his entourage. The president chooses Seattle as he regards Seattle as the "America's gateway to Asia".

The one week visit will start with the president addressing the tech forum that will be held in Seattle according to Reuters. The forum will be attended by many tech companies and local businesses such as Microsoft, Starbuck Corp and Boeing Corp as they are looking for more business opportunity in China.

The first company will be visited by Xi Jinping is Boeing plant in Seattle. The company have been seeking permission from the Chinese authority to further expand their production in China as a strategy to improve their sales and compete with China's aircraft manufacturer, Commercial Aircraft Corp of China Ltd as reported by Yahoo! News.

Besides addressing the country policy, the tech forum will see the president having a roundtable meeting with almost 30 business leader from both countries including Warren Buffet, Tim Cook, and Jeff Bezos. U.S officials said that the outcome of the meeting is crucial for the American businesses as lots of companies is complaining that they are facing discrimination in expanding their business to China.

During the visit, U.S. government is hoping that an agreement could be achieved about many of China's policy. Among that is expected to highlight is China's policy on internet censorship and allegation regarding cyber spying. Another matter on the agenda is the latest dispute regarding island claims in the South China Sea.

Xi Jinping is expected to meet Obama at the White House for a meeting said USA Today. The two leaders are expected to discuss mainly on China's military operation. During the commemoration of World War Two earlier this month, Chinese authority conducts a huge parade showcasing the world their latest military equipment and vehicles. U.S and China are expected to sign a military agreement as both countries warplanes always patrolling the South China Sea.

Around 100 protestors gathered near Westin Hotel in downtown Seattle where Xi Jinping is expected to deliver his policy speech as both countries are trying to rejuvenate their troubled relationship. Most of the protesters are from a minority religious group in China called Falun Gong. The group is accusing the Chinese president is oppressing the minority in China.
