Dubai Press Club Launches Economic Content Creators Program To Empower Digital Talent
The Dubai Press Club (DPC) on Monday launched the first phase of the Dubai Content Creators Program to help new content creators develop advanced skills for creating effective digital content.
This phase includes the Economic Content Creators Program, organized with the UAE Ministry of Economy, from Dec.16 to Jan. 8. The three-week program, led by experts and top financial media organizations, aims to train emerging media talent.
It focuses on improving their understanding of economics and teaching them the latest trends in economic reporting for the digital age, WAM reported.
The program began with a session led by the UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri. He stressed the importance of training initiatives to help participants develop the skills needed to create specialized content.
The minister highlighted the increasing demand for meaningful content that keeps pace with the fast-changing world, especially in the economic sector. He emphasized that content creators need a strong understanding of the tools and techniques required to produce accurate and impactful messages.
Abdullah bin Touq stated that the UAE is dedicated to advancing the media sector under the country's leadership. He noted that the country has developed specialized zones with top-tier infrastructure, advanced technologies, and flexible regulations, making it a regional hub for major global media organizations.
He also emphasized the Ministry of Economy's commitment to providing accurate and reliable economic data to support professional content creation. The ministry aims to enhance economic literacy within the community and actively collaborates with content creators by offering trustworthy data.
"The launch of the Economic Content Creators Programme reflects the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Economy and the Dubai Media Council. It marks an important step in fostering innovation and creating a media environment that keeps pace with rapid economic developments locally and globally," Abdullah bin Touq said.
"The Ministry of Economy considers media organizations essential partners in showcasing the UAE's economic strengths, development efforts, and rapid transformations while providing accurate insights into the national economy," he added.
Mona Al Marri, President of Dubai Press Club, also spoke during the launch and said that content focused on economic topics is crucial for improving financial literacy in communities, which in turn helps build a stronger and more sustainable economy.
She said that this type of content helps people understand important issues that affect daily life, from personal financial decisions to national economic policies.
Mona also pointed out that the need for reliable and thorough economic content is greater than ever, especially as the world faces challenges like inflation, unstable financial markets and the impact of new technologies on global economies.
In October, the Sharjah Media City "Shams" announced the launch of the "Influencers' Room" program after selecting participants based on the evaluation of submitted applications.
