Russia Launches Christmas Day Strike on Ukraine's Energy Grid

On Christmas Day, Russia launched a significant missile and drone assault on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, leading to widespread power outages and further straining the nation's resilience amid the ongoing conflict. NATO forces reportedly scrambled jets as some Russian missiles crossed into Moldovan and Romanian airspace, prompting Poland to heighten its defenses. Ukrainian energy workers are diligently assessing and repairing the damage to restore services. Despite the challenges, the Ukrainian government remains resolute in its efforts to maintain infrastructure and support its citizens during this critical period.
