Recent reports claim four fabulous changes coming to Marriott Rewards. The public announcement of these changes is coming next week, but it was claimed that the changes will cover the Points Advance, the Points Sharing, the Redemption Stay Credit, and New Cash + Points.
Marriott plans to announce four changes to its Rewards program, according to an official post on the Marriott Rewards Insiders. Based on the post confirmed with a Marriott representative, the changes made include Points Advance, Points Sharing, Redemption Stay Credit, and New Cash + Points.
The Points Advance is now available now. Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards members are able to book redemption stays before having enough points to cover the cost of that stay. The Points Sharing will begin on October 12, 2015. The Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards members will have the capacity to link points with friends and family. The members can also transfer up to 50,000 points from their account each year.
Moreover, the Redemption Stay Credit will be effective on November 1, 2015. The reward members will earn Elite night credit on redemption nights paid for with points. The Rewards also offer New Cash + Points in the next year 2016. The New Cash + Points will give Rewards members the flexibility to use a mix of cash and points to cover single or multi-night redemption stays.
Although the first program addition on March 19, 2015 has been in effect for quite some time now, Marriott allegedly prepares for the four positive changes. The three new add on to the rewards make consumers excited with the latest offers of Marriott.
Not only that the rewards are quite valuable, Starwood currently lets you share points for free with someone with the same mailing address. And with a fee of $10 per 1,000 points, Hilton would allow points transfers. Hyatt also permits free transfers with any other member redeeming specific award.
And when it comes to stay credits, Marriott and Hyatt are the only major rewards that unable to offer stay credits for awards night. But for the next month, Marriott promises to change the program. Cash and points redemptions are also usual with other programs.
Although for now it's still unconfirmed the total price that the program members need to compensate for redemptions, all of the welcome additions are highly anticipated. Ultimately, Marriott is now catching up with their recent reward offers.
