Amex Platinum Card now comes with complimentary free Hilton HHonor Gold Status
Hilton Gold Status just recently partnered with the American Express Platinum Card. The reports claim that the Hotel elite status can provide numerous benefits for a lot of card holders, especially those users who travel frequently.
American Express has added a new benefit to their Platinum credit card. You can now get Gold status with the Hilton hotel chain for free. This advantage is made available to all card holders, including additional card holders. However, to avail the benefits, card holders need to call the number on the back of their card to enroll while primary card holders can enroll online.
Some of the hotel chains is said to offer free breakfast or club access to elite guests, or an upgrade to a nicer room. But more than that, there are also sorts of credit cards that can provide those statuses absolute, or at least give have a boost towards elite qualification.
The Hotel chains from different parts of the world will also run promos on certain occasions. The members can earn status more quickly by having a certain number of stays in a given time period, but for most of us the credit card status is easier and more consistent route.
This is something American Express has been trying to test as a benefit for quite a while now. From November 1 until December 31, 2013 card holders were able to call in and get it added. In the 2013 offers, the Platinum Card from American Express was just giving card holders a limited-time benefit of automatic Hilton HHonors Gold Status. You had to register by the end of the year, and the status would be good through all of 2014.
Even though Amex has not yet announced the offers publicly, it seems as if the offer is back for good. Some of the users already claimed that when they logging in with their Amex accounts, the Benefits tab of the account was made automatically on Hilton HHonors Gold status.
