United Airlines is giving away bonuses to MileagePlus Saver Awards cardholders. Members must book from Oct. 12 until Nov. 5, 2015 and fly between Oct. 19, 2015  to March 3, 20016 to avail of the discounted United Airlines flights.

United Airlines Award Tickets are available for roundtrip bookings to U.S., Canada and Hawaii, according to Points Miles and Martinis Boarding Area. Flights will be awarded with 36,000 miles compared to its regular priced flights that have 45,000 miles awards. The said discount is not applicable on blackout dates from Nov. 20 to Dec. 3, 2015 and Dec. 16, 2015 to Jan. 5, 2016.

"Discounted Saver Award is only valid for roundtrip travel between the U.S. (excluding Hawaii) or Canada and Hawaii. It is only valid for roundtrip travel in United Economy. One-way travel is still priced as a regular, non-discounted Saver Award," United Airlines website says.

During the promo, members can combine MileagePlus Saver Awards to other award types. The member just have to make sure that it is a roundtrip flight. For instance, the website says that, "a member can book a Standard Award for the outbound portion of an itinerary and a Saver Award for the return portion, or vice versa) but only the flight segments purchased with a Saver Award will be eligible for a discount."

In April, United Airlines also offered the same 20% discount to all MileagePlus award cardholders. During the time, members can book economy awards with 36,000 miles.

"Even with the promo, United isn't the cheapest option for getting to Hawaii. Both Singapore Airlines and Korean Air offer great transfer options that will get you to Hawaii with fewer points or miles than this United promo. Korean only requires 25,000 points round-trip, as do British Airways distance-based awards on Alaska Airlines if you're flying from the West Coast," says one traveler, according to The Points Guy.
