Waze Survey, a GPS-based traffic and navigation app has revealed that Cleveland has the most satisfied drivers worldwide. The findings were obtained after conducting the "Driver Satisfaction Index " survey in 32 countries and 167 metro areas with 50 million users.

According to the Waze survey, Cleveland rates as the sixth of the most satisfied city in the world while Cleveland drivers are the most satisfied drivers among the countries, News Net 5 reports.  The no#1 most satisfied city is Phoenix, then Greensboro, N.C., Dallas, Amsterdam, Detroit, and Rouen, France.

Several drivers in Cleveland were shocked about Waze survey result. "I can't see how we should be satisfied due to our potholes, our cones," said Ohio City driver Vanessa Anderson. "I don't think it's satisfying."

Based on the first Driver Satisfaction Index, Cleveland drivers scored 7.7. It evaluates the driver's experience with 10 as the highest and the most satisfying and 1 as miserable and the lowest score. Phoenix and Dallas led the top spot on the category, while Albany and Orlando got a lower score than Cleveland, Cleveland reports. In the driver's index, the app checks how long the drivers wait in the traffic and how fast they drive on the highway.

Meanwhile, on Sept.29, Waze Survey has announced that Metro Manila has the worst traffic in the world after it conducted its first "Global Driver Satisfaction Index" (GDSI). According to News Info Inquirer, the GDSI score of Metro Manila is 0.4 with Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, and Jakarta the next worst cities to drive in.

"Other metro cities in the world have efficient mass transit systems, like the London Tube and the New York Subway System. Subways will solve our problems," said MMDA Chair Francis Tolentino in addressing the result of Waze Survey.

Waze, founded in 2007 was purchased by Google in 2013.  It is the biggest community of drivers with 50 million subscribers worldwide. Waze survey is based according to six factors, including safety, traffic, road quality, driver services, and socioeconomic factors. The sixth factor is based on "Wazeyness," the positive state of mind or satisfaction behind the wheels.

With Waze survey, the traffic and navigation app aims at improving the traffic between the cities in the world. It is a great survey that gives credits to organize drivers in the cities and encourages other cities that didn't perform well.
