Loveland Ski Area To Open its 2015-2016 Winter Ski Season on Thursday
Colorado's popular Ski location, Loveland Ski Area set to open this year's winter ski peak season on Thursday. The said ski area is known to be the first in Colorado to schedule an opening day. Last year's season, Loveland has welcomed skiers and riders last November, this time, the three trails will be use on the opening day run.
According to Fox31, the Ski area near George Town in Colorado, Loveland Ski made an official announcement of their 2015 to 2016 ski season opening on Monday. The director of Loveland, Rob Goodell said, "The warm fall weather delayed the start of snowmaking this year, but Mother Nature finally came through. A winter storm delivered 17.5 inches of natural snow last week and brought the cold temperatures our snowmakers had been waiting for. They have done an incredible job getting the mountain ready for the first skiers and riders of the season."
The run time scheduled of the ski area's lift 1 is from 9am until 4pm on the opening day, Thursday. The Loveland Ski area will also provide the skiers and riders a "one top-to-bottom run access" covered from tree-to-tree with an 18-inch base, the Denver Post reported. They also said on a statement that 3 trails will be available at the opening day run, the Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run.
Loveland ski area's director added that they will still continue to make snow on the bottom portion of the mountain, according to the Summit Daily. "But the coverage up top is outstanding. We have been waiting all summer for this moment and invite everyone to come up and help us kick off the ski season." Goodle also said.
Last year's winter season opening, Loveland Ski Area had their Ski season on the first day of November. As this year's opening date was announce, the ski activities will also start at 9:00am to 4:00 pm on weekdays. While during weekends and holidays, the opening time will be 8:30am to 4:00pm. Lift tickets cost $53 for Adults and for 6 to 14 children, will cost $25.
