Turkey's Best Restaurant for Kebab Lovers

A dish of any kind of meat roasted or grilled on a skewer is called Kebab. It is one of the popular food in Turkey and a must not forgotten food in every food trip list. Turkish kebabs are served in different ways by adding mouthwatering side dishes at the finest restaurants in Turkey and here's the list.

The CNN Travel listed the best Turkish restaurant serving the delicious Kebab dish in every foodie. Starting at the capital city, Istanbul, the Hamdi Restaurant serves the tasty dish. The restaurant is located few steps from the Egyptian Bazaar in Eminonu.

Its best signature dish is the testi kebabi, cooked in charcoal on clay jug with dough made up with veal, tomatoes, onions, garlic, pepper, oregano, tomato paste and butter. Waiters serve the dish by breaking the jug that is quite entertaining for tourists. Hamdi is also considered an attraction as it offers spectacular view of the Golden Horn, the Galata Tower and Eminonu.

The Halil Usta and Imam Cagdas are two leading restaurants in the southeastern city of Gaziantep. Since 1972, Halil Usta had been known for its tender meat over the years. The restaurant only serves for lunch and almost every day, they run out of meat. Most famous dish on Halil is their kusleme, a velvety soft lamb kebab served in copper pots.

While the much larger and modernized Turkish restaurant, the Imam Cagdas has variety of kebab dish such as lamb served on top of a bed of char-grilled yogurt-eggplant pure and alti ezmeli tike kebabi, a stew-like kebab made with lamb served on top of a tomato and pepper mash.

In Onbasilar, the Adana kebap is one of the most famous styles of kebabs and the Onbasilar is the place serving the finest kebab dish. It is grilled with charcoal, thee spicy mince-lamb kebab is presented with charred tomatoes, peppers and onions with sumac and lavas known as thin flatbread.
