The 2016 Great American Beer Festival in Denver Highlights
For Beer lovers in the US, the Great American Beer Festival in Denver is one of the most awaited annual events. For the upcoming year, the oldest running beer festival in the US will gather the hightlights of the event, the best beers collections in America and will all served to be tasted in one ounce for the 2016 Great American Beer Festival.
According to CNN, in Denver, the Great American Beer Festival started in 1982 and since then it became Denver's beer scene. Revelries attending the event are more than 60,000, 750 breweries presenting 3,500 beers in 2015 and it is considered as the biggest and best beer festival in America. Beers serve at the event are "rare" as some beers are not distributed around the country such as the imperial IPA or the bourbon-barrel-aged stout. It will give a big opportunity to have a taste of the beers from around the America.
The Brewers Association organized and produced the Great American Beer Festival and is dedicated to all small independent American brewers as well as the brewing community. They are representing more than 75 percent of the brewing industry, and its members make more than 99 percent of the beer brewed in the U.S.
Held at the large venue the 188,000 square feet Colorado Convention Center, beer lovers get to enjoy the best highlights of the beer festival, taste the different beers serve and meet the "US biggest beer heroes". A competition is also featured at the event, called the PRO-AM Competition, a contest with beers brewed by professional craft brewers. The next Great American Beer Festival will be sometime in September 2016.
Aside from the Great American Beer Festival, there are several beer events in Denver. One of the best beer events in Denver is the 8th annual Denver Beer Fest. No wonder, the "Mile High City" is considered America's best beer town.
