People nowadays focus more on storing their photos in Smartphones, rather than developing them. There is backup software available in Android as well as in iOS, for storing the pictures permanently automatically.

According to Tech Crunch, Google Photos, which is the Google's popular photo management utility, has been serving 100 million monthly active Android users, who have uploaded some 50 billion photos. The incredible and highly useful app is becoming smarter as the company has updated the app on Wednesday, which will assist users to free up storage space on their mobile devices by an inclusion of an option to bulk-delete photos from their phone.

The arrival of update that assists the users to control their storage space on Google's cloud service,  by changing your  photos in "Original" quality (meaning, large files in full resolution), into "High" quality to save space. High-quality files don't count against your Google storage quota.

The updated version of Google photos app has been included with multiple features. While most of the Android Smart phones already come with their self-included well-designed, custom gallery apps, the users then don't find any need for further managing apps. But Google's default Photos app that comes built-in is gradually becoming a smarter alternative, as reported by Tech2.

The update that facilitates the users with the space saving features is only available for the Android app. But, the same will reach iOS devices soon.

The new effortless feature includes an option, 'Free Up Space' that will enable a user to save or make more space in their Smartphone by deleting photos and videos locally after their gallery have already been backed up to their storage. Now, the users don't have to go through a frustrating process to manage their galleries.

As reported by Meme Burn, the bulk deleting of images will not prove to be risky as the app double-confirm the action before deleting the images permanently, to avoid using precious memories. However, besides that, Google Photos app also includes push notifications in the form of Assistant cards. The helpful card will instantly notify the users of their depleting storage limit on their devices, thus, saving up the mobile space.

Another feature launched will have the ability to delete photos from SD-card enabled devices. According to Google, users are infuriatingly facing issues with photos that show up continuously in the Photos view, even after the user deletes them.
