Hera Systems to Launch It's First Satellites to Capture Earth Images and Video

San Jose-based Hera Systems is a satellite information and analytics organization that gathers pictures of the Earth each day as it revolves around the solar system. It has plans to launch the first of the organization's satellites that will catch high-resolution of Earth pictures and video.

Hera Systems has unveiled its plans  of launching the first of the company's satellites that will acquire high-resolution Earth images and video in in near-real time.  It already has secured its first investment that will fund the launch in October 2016, as reported by Venture Beat

It will be the only company to gather new, smart, one-meter and higher resolution pictures and video anywhere on the globe, They will make these products, along with analytics and gathered information, easily accessible on-demand through mobile applications. Hera Systems separates itself from other providers since it could provide all of the features and capabilities in one inexpensive package.

Firsthand Capital is the leading investor of this project.  Funding will be utilized to create a full structured model satellite that will show its technology, buy materials for the construction of the initial satellites, and create steadfastness to launch opportunities.  Just last month, the startup company's spacecraft passed their Preliminary Design Review (PDR).

The first nine-satellite constellation featuring sun-synchronous and inclined orbit capabilities will allow entire globe coverage at various times during the day.  Nearly hour-hour updates will be provided by the full 48-satellite constellation, according to Via Satellite.

Bobby Machinski, CEO of Hera Systems and his team devoted their energy and resources on the development of Hera Systems' spacecraft design and capabilities.  These include the communications systems and protocols as well as the basic architecture for secure data-cloud and supporting web services.
"In the coming weeks, we will announce additional plans for satellites beyond our one-meter system, as well as major partnering arrangements we're securing with customers," said Machinski. "Right now, we're focused on securing additional funding to get us through the next milestones that get us closer to launch." As Hera Systems prepares for its next round of investments, it is already accepting convertible funding notes."

Hera Systems' staff presently consist of almost 30 team members  with deep expertise and over 200 years of of combined experience regarding aerospace and related technology and engineering fields. Machinski anticipates his team's size will get doubled within the next year, Business Wire reported.
