As per the Wired reports, a number password is sent by the Amazon which is entered in the blank space to log in. Even the randomly generated code by various authentication apps such as Google Authenticator or Authy can be used. Such secured passwords can ensure a safe login as no one can guess and enter any password and even if they get to know, your phone will be required to access the account. 

According to security experts, relying completely on passwords to make your online experience safe and secure is not a good idea anymore. To add the extra layer of security, verifying your identity and it is actually you who is using the account is necessary.

The best solution to protect your valuable info is to use Amazon's two-factor authentication system. Earlier Amazon was not equipped with any additional supportive feature for this. So, some people were facing issues to use this system then.

Later on, Amazon launched new options to support this exclusive security feature.

As the reporter of Engadget cited, once you enable the security feature it is essential to go through the instruction or search for "Advanced Security Settings" from the account settings page. When you want to log in, you must have the password and also the phone in order to receive the code from the authenticated apps like Google Authenticator via message. So if anyone knows your password, you need not worry as they must have access to your phone too, to log in to your account.
