LG adds to smartphone collection with official launch of G4 Stylus and G4c

The LG Electronics smartphone collections is getting bigger with the formal introduction of two new devices in the G4 Stylus and the G4c.

Both smartphones are now being shipped to retailers all over the world, and they are expected to become available at the end of the month.

Starting with the G4 Stylus, the new device is just slightly larger than the original G4, coming in at 5.7 inches to the original's 5.5 inches. The Rubberdium Stylus is its most distinguishing feature, according to LG. The new stylus will help users make more precise movements on the device's screen.

The G4c is also not too different from the original G4. The only immediately noticeable difference between the two devices is that the former comes in a more compact package, measuring at 5 inches flat.

Features such as the Gesture Shot, an elaborate camera countdown mechanic for the shutter, the Knock Code, a feature which allows users to create and then assign their own custom knocks to effectively be their lock codes, and Glance View which shows important notifications even when the display is turned off, are all found on the new phones, according to NDTV.

It's probably no accident that LG has chosen to model their new phones so closely to the original G4. The G4 is considered as the device that has re-ignited market interest in the LG brand of smartphones, according to PC Pro, In a market as competitive as this one, it would behoove LG to draw as much juice as they can from that specific triumph.

Regardless of the motivation behind releasing the G4 Stylus and the G4c, these two new devices are also going to rake in profit for the company. 

Consumers should note that there are differences between the 3G and LTE models of the G4 Stylus. The 3G model features a superior processor, while the latter can boast a clearer photo by using its more advanced rear camera.

Prices for both devices have not yet been announced by LG.
