AKAStudy's new project, 'Musio', allows humans to interactively converse with robots

Musio, a robot, is the new project of the natural language and learning company, AKAStudy. This new robot, unlike any other robots, is said to be one that is able to talk back, and handle conversations with humans.

Musio can reportedly handle back and forth conversations and can even learn from it. This is made possible by AKA's machine learning and natural language technology. It is said to be different from other robots, because it can be used to practice and learn english, one you can converse with, and one that can control other house gadgets.  "[Musio is] going to be a character, going to be your friend, someone you can kind of talk to and have fun with,"

"Lots of people are scared of AI, but we want to show how it can be used for doing good things."  AKA linguist Jacob Bradsher reportedly said.

For Musio to be produced, the company is hoping to raise $500,000. If ever released, AKA is planning to sell Musio in different prices. An inexpensive version can be bought for $99 dollars, which can handle a very basic conversation. While a high-end Musio can be purchased for $599 and is the advanced version of the Musio from the former price range.

Add-ons will reportedly be available, like one that turns the robot into an interactive teacher, one that connects Musio to three Arduino-compatible boards, three Zigbee modules, a controller app for Android, and one that is called a "Sophy" that allows an interaction between the robot and other objects. Between $99 dollars and $599, a smart version of the robot will also probably be produced, and it is one that has 11 hours of battery life.

From the $500,000 target, AKA is reportedly now in $16,000, which they got from their backers.

The developers reportedly made a prototype of the robot, which follows a scripted conversation, but the robot was said to have been able to respond to questions, and even make a few jokes along the way. Musio, will be the first hardware product by AKA.
