Due to the success of the application, Glose has decided to expand their support to android users.

"Things are going well," co-founder and CEO Nicolas Princen told TechCrunch. "We basically doubled our catalog, our user base is constantly growing. We started with four big publishers, and today we have around 600 publishers." 

Glose - Social Ebook Reader has now android support. Now, everybody can read and socialize to fellow bookworms, regardless your gadget.

In Glose, users have the capability to discuss a quote from a book. Comment on it. User can even see their friends annotations as inline comments. Glose is like a used book passed on from another friend. You see how the other people who have read the book interpret a part of a book. It's like the user is leaving their own "notes" to the book.

Educational books and other non-fiction books are great to use Glose. You learn more from other reader's take on the text. Learning and reading is indeed a social experience in Glose.

Aside from that, Glose offers a free excerpt of books, which Kindle doesn't offer. Glose has made excerpts of book available for the users for free.

"We are launching the biggest freemium offer on the book market," co-founder and CEO Nicolas Princen told TechCrunch. "We will let you read the first 10 percent of any book for free. We are different from Amazon as you only download a single file. You can download an excerpt and do everything you would do in Glose, and you will keep everything."
