LG G5 Possibly Out Q4 2015; Flagship Phone to Feature Trailblazing Iris Recognition Technology
LG G4 was just released to the market this year and yet the techie people are now turning their heads to LG Electronics Inc.'s next in line LG G5. It is rumored that the sub-par reception of the flagship design might force LG Electronics Inc. to release an update, which is the LG G5, before the end of the year.
There are still no details about LG G5 but a lot of speculations and rumors are making rounds over the internet. Since the not-so-hot welcome of the LG G4, it is speculated that LG Electronics Inc. might be forced to release an update to their flagship within the year of 2015.
In addition to that, it is rumored that one of the features of LG G5 is its Iris Recognition Technology. They say that LG plans to beat Apple and Samsung's fingerprint scanner.
According to International Business Times, Irience is the one who is developing the iris recognition technology. Irience is a South Korean firm that specializes and focuses on biometrics. It is said that the technology is almost ready since it is in the advanced stage of development. The software is expected to be completely ready in two or three months.
As of now, the engineers are reportedly working to increase the scanning range from 30 cm (12 inches) to an arm's length of 50 cm (20 inches).
If LG Electronics Inc.'s plan on the upcoming G4 successor is actually pulled through, LG G5 will be the second to get the iris scanner technology. The first one to be X5Pro from Vivo which is only avaiable in China as of now.
At the moment, there are only speculations about the upcoming LG G5 smartphone. Confirmation and announcement from the LG Electronics Inc.themselves are yet to come. Let's just experience LG G4's "hidden talents" and wait in vain.
