"Learning is fun," is perhaps the Tiggly's mission. The creator of innovative educational series has just launched its new series, Tiggly Words. It helps kids to read simple words by using the physical items and an iPad app.
From the creator of Tiggly Shapes, Tiggly Math, and Tiggly Chef comes the next in this education group of toys and apps for kids. Tiggly Words has been released May 28, offering children a fun way to learn about language.
The concept of this game is that young children must fill up the correct letter on the screen in order to build words, unlock other game content, and to advance the story
Tiggly Words helps preschoolers, ages 4 to 8 years old, become familiar with phonemes, construct sounds, and discover words by combining virtual and physical items. The game includes a set of five vowel toys designed to work with three Tiggly-branded mobile applications- Tiggly Submarine, Tiggly Tales, and Tiggly Doctor. These apps can identify if the child has chosen the right letter because they have silicone touch points on them which the tablet reacts to.
In other report, 66 percent of fourth graders are not proficient in reading, which is linked to early literacy problem in the United States. With the use of learning games that include physical elements and virtual apps, it helps preschoolers to fight against illiteracy while having fun.
The company also claims that that Tiggly Words app helps kids learn about spatial reasoning and motor skills while also improving their language and creativity.
Tiggly products are available for $29.95 each and come with a set of toys and three free apps. Additional Tiggly apps can also be found on the App Store. Tiggly is now also partnering with Target and Best Buy Canada to bring its products to over 1 thousand retail stores.
