The release of Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge may still be a year away but concept images for the 2016 flagship smartphones for the South Korean company are already floating around in tech circles and public sites.

A You Tube video released this week by Mesut G. Designs suggests that the Galaxy S7 Edge will feature curves on the edges of the smartphone. The designers also predict that the Galaxy S7 screen will be slimming down the top and bottom side bezels.

The concept images are consistent with earlier reports of Venture Capital Post which predict the S7 Edge will sport the handset version of the company's curved screen high-end television. The report refers to sources from Korea saying Samsung will be marketing the curved screen mobile to the mainstream market in 2016.

Samsung apparently has taken note of the praises it received when it first used the curved screen technology for mobiles in 2015 with the premium Galaxy Note 4. It is predicted the company will take its successful curved screen mobile variant to a wider market with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Another first for a mainstream smartphone-sized mobile device is foreseen with the Samsung Galaxy S7 featuring a 4K resolution screen with a super AMOLED display.

VC Post also reports the possibility of yet another introduction of the world's first smartphone with a foldable screen design. Tech reviewers are however doubting Samsung will use the untested foldable screen technology on its flagship Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

An earlier Mesut G. Designs video also suggests the Galaxy S7 camera could be moved to the left-hand side of the device to allow the larger screen.

Still other reports from Value Walk foresee another revolutionary concept design different from any other phone in the market that eliminates the physical home button on the virtually bezel-less design of the Galaxy S7 Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are expected to be unveiled in the days leading up to the Mobile World Congress scheduled for February 22 to 25, 2016.
