Marriott and Netflix recently had teamed up to provide free streaming services to its hotel guests through Marriott's in-room televisions.
This is definitely good news to Netflix users who will be staying in Marriott hotels, since they can get free internet access through their Netflix accounts.
This move is a unique deal, as Marriott is the first hotel chain to give Netflix on its TV sets, offering a real treat to Netflix fans who desire to binge watch their favorite shows, while staying at a Marriott property.
"Because consumers are choosing to take their streaming content with them when they travel, Marriott Hotel is making the industry's first rollout of Netflix, a priority", explains Matthew Carroll, Marriott's vice president for brand management.
We have yet to find out whether Netflix users will prefer to stream on their laptops or if they choose to view it on Marriott's TV sets.
However to ensure security on Netflix's streaming option, passwords will be avoided. Netflix users will need to use their own account log-in to access the streaming service on the hotel's televisions.
Marriott plans to provide the streaming service to 100 of its hotel properties by December of this year but by the end of 2016, the hotel chain hopes to offer Netflix to 300 Marriott hotels.
Currently, the Netflix access is only available in six Marriott hotels.
