In Southeast Asia, Uber won't just bring their clients to their destination, it will also deliver the new Xiaomi phone to their doorstep. Xiaomi aims to deliver their new Mi Note Smartphone straight to their customer's doorstep.

Giant Chinese Phone manufacturer Xiaomi is taking their publicity to new heights by delivering their new Mi Note smartphone to customers via Uber. This feature is only available in Singapore and Malaysia as of now. Xiaomi global head Hugo Barra announced on Facebook tht the sales would start July 27. According to a report by the Fast Company, users simply have to open their Uber app and select "Xiaomi" then hit request when placing their orders. The payment will be collected through the credit card connected to the user'ss Uber account. The customer will just have to wait for a few minutes for their new phone to be delivered on their doorstep.

According to International Business Times, this is the first time that Uber and Xiaomi teamed up for a project like this. Xiaomi usually sells its products via its Mi.com website. Xiaomi's home territory is China. Now it has moved to its south-eastern neighbours. It is also planning to expand to new horizons, such as its Brazilian and Russian markets.

Mashable reports that the new Mi Note smartphone has a 5.7-inch full HD screen. It is one of the best smartphones in Asia, if not the whole world. It looks premium and it has amazing specs. It costs about $416. It has quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera, 3GB of RAM, and it has a 64GB storage. It's not available in US, and it will be out in Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia on July 28.

Xiaomi struggled to penetrate foreign market in the past. After poaching Barra from Google's product management team, it seems to be moving out of its home zone. This new venture is yet to prove if it is successful or not.
