EMIS became stronger since it became associated with Apple in September 2014.  From thereon, patients at thousands of GP surgeries were able to link health information retrieved from their iPhone with their private medical records with the use of a new app that promised to transform the care of the long-term ill.

Insistent buying helped EMIS Group close in the best health that rises to 68p to an all-time high of 1005p following strong interims.  Revenues rose 17% to £77.8million, with an operating profit of 16% higher to £16.9 million that result in earnings per share of 18% better at 20.5p.

EMIS Group is a United Kingdom-based provider of connected healthcare software and services.  The company links up different healthcare sectors through integrated and interoperable technology making patient information available.

The partnership of EMIS Health with Apple launched the world's first mobile personal health record that enables the monitoring of your own health in real time with wearable devices and apps to share the data with your physician and to keep them updated.  The free app was developed through collaboration between EMIS and Apple that enables blood pressure readings, asthma breath tests, exercise charts and other information to be immediately fed into GP's patient records.

Apple Health enables you to collect your own health data by using apps, home gadgets such as smart scales and even wearable devices including blood pressure wrist monitors and fitness trackers.  The apps and devices allow you to check all of your health aspects, from weight and fitness to life-threatening conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, chronic lung disease, heart, and kidney problems.

Once your GP is connected to Apple Health, your Patient Access account will securely save your data to your Personal Health Record and be able to manage through Patient Access. Your record can only be viewed by your GP with your consent upon consultation and the data collected can be used to build a complete picture of your health allowing you to become a real partner in your own healthcare and well-being.
