Jaguar Land Rover: Bond cars for 'Spectre 007'

On October, Bond fans will soon see their hero in cinemas again chasing villians in a hybrid supercar.  Jaguar Land Rover provided the cars for the new Bond film 'Spectre' that will surely amaze the one driving it and the audiences as well.

Jaguar Land Rover celebrated their vehicles appearance in the new Bond adventure, Spectre.  Cars include the Jaguar C-X75, Range Rover Sport SVR and the iconic Land Rover Defender stole the show on Tuesday night as they were displayed to the public for the first time at the palatial Thurn und Taxis in Frankfurt, reported PR Newswire.

Spectre is the 24th James Bond film, from Albert R. Broccoli's EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment.  The specially modified Land Rover Defenders and the Range Rover Sport SVR which is the fastest and most powerful Land Rover ever can be seen in action sequences shot in Austria.

SVO was made in June 2014 to concentrate on meeting the increasing expectations of today's most discerning and exciting Jaguar and Land Rover customers.  Operating on the development of high-performance versions of present models, luxury customize commissions and limited run collector editions, it depicts the most important of the two iconic brands.

The C-X75 is Jaguar's aborted hybrid supercar.  Its first appearance was a concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show that sports a plug-in hybrid powertrain including two turbine engines.  Jaguar's partner Williams Advanced Engineering (the engineering arm of the Williams Formula One team), put it into production transitioning to 1.6-liter piston engine before giving up on the C-X75 entirely.

JLR Special Operations division constructed Defenders and fitted with huge 37-inch diameter off-road tyres and improved body protection to endure the challenging terrain of the snow-covered mountain roads used as filming locations, according to Auto Car.

David Bautista (Hinx) and Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), two of the Spectre stars attended the unveiling of the supercars. Spectre is to be released in cinemas around the globe from October.
