Best Places in Japan this Autumn Season

The Season of Autumn falls this November on the land of the Rising Sun, Japan. Japanese people are looking forward for the said season as it is the time to witness the changing marvelous colors of fall season. Travelers might also roam around Japan, especially the Tokyo capital looking for the best places to view and capture the wonder red, yellow and orange foliage this year's season.

The CNN Travel listed the top places in Tokyo and the city has the best spots to catch the fall season. One of the perfect viewing spots is in the city's downtown area, the Icho Namiki Avenue. In between the busy business areas, the Icho Namiki Avenue has a number of ginkgo trees lined up and forms a spectacular view of autumn season. Ginkgo trees leaves turn into yellow from the late November to early December. People will enjoy walking along the avenue and grab a bite for some delicious snacks at the Royal Garden Café while gazing the yellow foliage outside.

One of the capital city's oldest parks, the Rikugien Garden is considered one of Tokyo's most beautiful spots for autumn viewing. It will take an hour to fully explore the park, however, the perfect areas having the best views is around the Togetsukyo Bridge. A teahouse called Tsutsuji no Chaya is also within the park.

Mount Takao is the favorite place for weekend escape by the people from the city. It is also flooded with people during November as it also paints stunning autumn canvas view. The mountain has a great number of hiking trails and peaks. A cable car is also available taking visitors halfway up.

Within the modern Tokyo Dome city complex also lies the oldest Koishikawa Korakuen Garden which also displays Maple trees surrounding the three ponds of Koishikawa Korakuenturn with its red and orange foliage. The Showa Kinen Park in the Tokyo offers numerous attractions, playgrounds and lakes. And in November, it is also covered with autumn colors, red leaved trees and golden yellow ginkgo trees leaves.

For those preferring to explore outside the city to spot the best autumn atmosphere, Mount Mitake is the best place. The mountain is also part of the giant Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park and features several mountain hiking trail. In late October, it offers a breathtaking view of autumn canvas blending with the waterfalls.
