Tim Ho Wan will always end up as one of the favorites of people, searching for a signature dish. People in Australia are two times luckier as three of its branches are opening this year.

Tim Ho Wan, the cheapest Michelin Star Restaurant in the world is well known for their delectable Baked bun with barbecue pork, spinach and prawn dumpling, pork and prawn siu mai, mango pomelo sago and more. Their famous dim sums have become the crowd's favorite that led to the opening of branches in Singapore, Daily Mail reports.

"Most of our restaurants you can queue for up to an hour and a half, in Sydney we'll be offering a reserve option," said Vince Howe, leading the Tim Ho Wan's Australian operations told Good Food. "The first will open in Chatswood, above the railway station, in late February. Then at Westfield in Burwood in June, with the George Street restaurant, located opposite Event Cinema, in October."

Tim Ho Wan was founded by former Four Seasons Hong Kong dim sum chef Mak Kwai Pui. He quit serving the grand hotels with the goal of offering simple, delicious basic dishes. His prowess in providing dim sums led to branch expansions with three of his five restaurants outside Hong Kong awarded with Michelin stars, Vice reports.

Australia was chosen as the destination for the popular Tim Ho Wan restaurant since Aussies have a strong inclination to Asian cuisines. They are also the first foreign persons to appreciate the Michelin starred eatery.

Tim Ho Wan fans love the fact that their foods are prepared fresh. The well known eatery doesn't preserve orders by freezing overnight. All are prepared and cooked as per order. Apart from their signature dim sums, the restaurant is also recognized for their delicious fluffy steamed egg cake and pigs liver cheung fun (steamed vermicelli rolls) and pan-fried carrot cake (made with radish).
