Apple Increases TestFlight Beta Groups To 2,000 Users

Apple Inc. announced on Tuesday that developers will now be able to invite around 2000 users to help beta test the applications for both iOS and newly launched tvOS via its TestFlight evaluation tool. 

News of the upgraded 2,000 users was announced on Apple's Developer website.  This represents doubling of the quantity of accessible testing spots from the latest 1,000 user cap, itself reported barely a year ago, according to Apple Insider.

In addition to raising the number of active testers, Apple increased beta period to 60 days, giving members sufficient time to work out frizz before their invitation expires. Developers experienced challenges with the previous trial period limit, saying 30 days is sometimes not an adequate time for full application assessments.

TestFlight was upgraded last month to suit applications built for the new tvOS platform for Apple television, which brags a full App Store identical to those offered on iOS and Mac. Apple made the TestFlight application for tvOS accessible for public consumption when Apple TV was launched in October.

TestFlight before was limited to 1,000 external testers on iOS and tvOS. Internal testing is restricted to only 25 members on 10 gadgets each.  Since the acquisition of TestFlight last year, Apple has kept TestFlight apps on iOS supporting watchOS tvOS, according to 9To5 Mac

Apple most recently upgraded TestFlight in August with various new elements. application thinning, support for WatchOS 2 and the ability for developers to seed software builds to clients outside of their dev groups.

The test flight news comes as Apple takes off more services to help developers, including the beta arrival of an analytics tool to help track with ease how customers search and use the applications, according to Venture Beat.

Apple has lately upgraded TestFlight in August having a number of features such as app thinning.  It also include support for WatchOS 2 and the ability for developers to seed software builds to non-members of their dev teams.
