GoPro cuts Hero 4 Session price again to only $200

After cutting its price down to $300 from $400, GoPro slashed its Hero 4 Session price once again by $100 to only $200 now.

Mashable reported that the Hero 4 Session is down to only $199.99 now from $299.99, which means it is the same price as the Hero+. This price cut is becoming a major concern for the company, since it now offers six different action cameras to choose from. For some, this many products to choose at various prices is too bloated.

According to CNET, Hero 4 Session is difficult to sell, because when it was still $400, it was at the same price with Hero 4 Silver, which had way more features and higher quality video. Though it was already a better deal at $300, it still had a lot of other competitions that were less than $300 and have better features. One of its major competitors was Polaroid's $150 Wi-Fi-enabled Cube+.

The International Business Times wrote that the Hero 4 Session got positive reviews from its users and critics. At a smaller size, it has 1080p action camera and a 170-degree wide-angle lens. It has one control button and a small LCD display where the menus are.

It has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support to let users connect to their smartphone, edit and even share images on the go. This device can be submerged 33 feet underwater, making it a wonderful device for water sports.

With the price cut, Hero 4 Session is a great idea as a holiday gift. There are no news, however, whether the discount will last even after the holiday season or not.

The other GoPro products are the "entry-level" Hero cameras with prices ranging from $129 to $299. Next are the three performance cameras at $199.99, which is the Hero 4 Session, and $499.99. which is the Hero 4 Black.

The company will roll out its first quadcopter drone in 2016. It is also planning to get into the Virtual Reality market.
