Man from Utah resurrects his dad's 1955 Chevy Bel Air putting LS3 Power and an Art Morrison Chassis on the classic.

According to Hot Rod Network, Gary Holyoak is a resident of Cedar City, Utah. He grew up with a 1955 Chevy Bel Air "post," which his dad owned. In 2011 he planned to resurrect the classic Bel Air and turn it into something more. The project is expected to take a long period of time, which is why he sought the help of Kindig-It Design's Dave and Charity Kindig from Salt Lake City, Utah.

Now, the two-door post Tri-Five still has its stock sheet metal with some efficient changes. It has shaved gas door and a black powder coated grille. It also has a trunk trim and 3-inch tubs that provides more wheel/tire clearance.

It has Dakota Digital analog gauges in the inside that are fit to its factory pod. Kindig-it Design fits its American Autowire system properly into the car. It also has a Kicker stereo.

Its steering wheel is handled by Koches reproduction Tri-Five wheel. It has custom center console by JS Custom Interiors and it has Vintage Air A/C controls.  Kindig-It Design custom built its remec six-speed shifter.

The car's original factory chassis was replaced by the Art Morrison Enterprises Tri-Five chassis. The chassis has  AME lowered spindles,  Strange coilover shocks,  rack-and-pinion steering,  an ABS Power Brake Inc. billet master cylinder,  and Wilwood 13-inch rotors in front and calipers.

Meanwhile, CarScoops reported a recent news from Chevy is that its new modified 1500 Z71 Silverado is a one off. The proceeds from each sale of the Special Operations Silverado will go to the NAVY Seal Museum to support the families of fallen members of the organization.

Autoblog wrote that the Special Operations edition Silverado was showcased at the SEMA last month. The car was designed with a three-tone paint job camouflage that makes it look like a 20th-century warship.

Back to the 1955 Chevy Bel Air, the classic has so many other new features that simply makes the classic even more than the magnificent car that it already is.
