New Google Photos App For Android Leaked, Will Include Video Sharing With Privacy Controls

Screenshots of the new stand-alone Google Photos app for Android leaked over the internet hours ago and it showed the possible interface as well as the app's features such as video-sharing capability and user control over the privacy settings of the said app.

In the leaked photos, Android users who will be using the said Photos app will be greeted with the iconic pinwheel animation representing the colors of Google. The Photos app will then be introduced as to how it will be used via user-friendly animated illustrations.

One of the features of the app include letting a user find specific person, things, or animals and the photos taken by the users will be managed and labeled automatically. Users can work around with the preferred settings such as backing up and syncing the photos and videos in the Google Photos library in order to search, edit, delete, and share from any device a user is logged on.

The interface of the Photos app is also shown in the leaked screenshots as users can change how they view the photos. The users can see their photos sorted out by day or by month or via tiles that are staggered in grids. Users can also select quicker, navigate better, and find faster as per the descriptions of the screenshots leaked on the internet.

The photo and video link sharing of the Photos app is also a big deal for a lot of people as it allows users to select any photo, then the sharing menu will automatically pop up. Basically, there will be a "Get Link" option and you can do anything with the link such as sending it as an SMS, posting it on Facebook, sharing it on Twitter and a whole lot more.

Users of Google's new Photos app will first be taken to the custom album with the content (photo or video) that was chosen before deciding what to do with it. This is quite different from other apps for photos as Photos app will not directly send the photo or video to another service without you giving the go signal.

There is no other information yet if the leaked screenshots will be seen in the final design of Photos app. Also, there has been no announced release date as to when the app will be available for Android users and if it will also be available for iOS users.
